Centrl was a location-based startup, run at a time when competitor Foursquare was gaining popularity. We offered the ability to connect with friends, share coupons for local deals, give gifts, and review locations. I joined the four-person team as their lead designer and as one of two coders. My task was to develop an illustrative visual identity and UI for an external website, browser-based app, and native mobile app (iPhone, Android, Blackberry). Within three months, we deployed with a base of 400,000 registered users.
